Pre-dieter Wendy is feeling extra light these days, even
though she is in need of losing about seventy-five
pounds - according to the recommended weight
on the chart at her doctor's office. But
why would Wendy feel so light when she hasn't
even started her diet, and when she is considered
a mite over her recommended weight?
Wendy Feeling of Lightness is Perfectly Normal - Even
Though She Needs to Lose Weight
This feeling of lightness experienced by Wendy is something
that many people who have a good bit
of weight to lose can relate to.
An individual
may be in need of dropping 75 pounds, 100
pounds, 150 pounds or more - YET, still
experience a feeling of lightness - not
in their head, but in regards to feeling
light on their feet - like they are truly
thin.
So is this glorious feeling of lightness
one of imagination because how can
one feel thin when one is still quite plump?
It's not imagination! So what creates
this feeling of thinness?
The result is one that stems when any
of the following collide: the types of foods
that the individual has recently eaten,
the humidity in the air, and even the position
of moon which effects gravitation, thus
lending a feeling of lightness.
The feeling of thinness is a glorious
one, and allows an overweight individual
to experience for a short time, what should
become part of their overall fitness goals
- to truly ditch the excess weight. Unfortunately,
the feeling of lightness can trigger a negative
impact in which the individual feels thin,
so they actually eat more during this short
phase, because after all, they feel thin,
so they are thin. The result is weight
gain.
As a note, there are certain types of
eating disorders in which the individual's
feelings regarding their weight is distorted.
Such diseases, including anorexia
and bulimia, are not normal and require
a professional evaluation.
